For Wales, See Wales is a podcast helping you better understand the most wonderful country on earth - Wales.

Each week we shine a light on the utterly bizarre (and often hilarious) world of Welsh politics and issues.

So many people care deeply about Cymru but very little attention is given to it by the wider UK media. This podcast aims to help fill this gap.

Guardian columnist Will Hayward and comedians Mel Owens and Robin Morgan pick apart the political scene in Wales with a combination of journalistic insight and satirical sideswipes.

Mel Owen

Melanie (Mel) Owen is a Welsh writer, presenter, and stand-up comedian, with script-writing credits ranging from Channel 4 to BBC Wales.

After graduating from Cardiff University with a degree in Law & French in 2017, Mel discovered a love for comedy and has gone on to win stand-up competitions across the UK, becoming a well-loved face in the presenting and comedy sphere in Wales.

Alongside presenting, Mel is also a news commentator for the magazine show, Prynhawn Da on S4C, and regularly features on Radio Cymru. Her podcast Mel, Mal, Jal, commissioned by BBC Sounds, has become one of Wales’ most popular podcasts.

Robin Morgan

Robin is a Welsh stand-up comedian, writer, presenter and actor based in Cardiff.

Robin has appeared on Mock The Week (BBC Two), The News Quiz, The Now Show (BBC Radio 4) and co-created Ellie Taylor’s Safe Space (BBC Radio 4).

He co-created and hosts the award-winning topical comedy panel show What Just Happened? (BBC Radio Wales).

He has written two critically acclaimed books, is a respected expert on Welsh politics, social/public affairs and Welsh independence.
